Born January 22, 1940, in Freeport to Burdette and Veronica (Lamm) Townsend.
She married Roger Pierce on October 6, 1956.
She had a passion for fishing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, 8 children, 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Chuck) Keating of Wyoming, Janice Harrington of Mississippi, Patricia (Ray) Ulrich of Florida, Loretta Johnson of Arkansas, and Mary Lou (Dennis) Pearson of Wisconsin.
Predeceased by twin sons and her parents; brothers, Clifford, Richard, and LaVerne Townsend.
