
Kay F. Fox, 87, was born to Francis “Fritz” and Phyllis (Blunt) Williams on January 12, 1939 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. She married the love of her life, David K. Fox, 1959, and they had two loving sons, Randal and Douglas. Kay found her greatest happiness by spending time with her sons and their families. She enjoyed reading and listening to Elvis Presley Gospel Music. Kay graduated from East High School, class of 1957, and Rockford School of Business. She was employed by Aetna Insurance and began work for Loewi and Co. (Now Wells Fargo Advisors) in 1967, where she worked for over 40 years until her retirement.
Kay is survived by her sons, Randal (Mindee) Fox and Douglas (Susan) Fox; five grandchildren, Daniel (Brenda) Fox, Taylor Fox, Amanda (Marcus) Allison, Gage Fox and Charisma (Austin) Serna-Fox; six great-grandchildren, Heidi Ballard, Maddison, Brody and Levi Allison, Daniel Steel, Maria Serna-Fox, and Luke Brinkmeier; sister, Joyce Luke; brother-in-law, Dale Fox; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a memorial service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice.
