Kenneth William Day, 61, of Loves Park, Illinois, passed away May 16, 2025. Ken was the first child born to Judith and Donald Day in Rockford on July 12, 1963. He graduated from Harlem High School. Ken worked as a supervisor for many years with a local vending company. In 1997, he married MaryBeth in Las Vegas, which led to 28 wonderful years together. Ken was an avid bowler. He and MaryBeth played in leagues together, which turned into a family staple. He was always excited to play the game with his children and teach them, as well as his grandchildren. He loved watching his granddaughter Everlee bowl, and his grandson Isaac play hockey. Ken had interests ranging from Sci-Fi to NASCAR, but his priority was always his family. He especially looked forward to family bike rides and loved taking the boat out with his family, which led to many good memories of tubing and wakeboarding together. This led to some time spent with the Ski Broncs. He showed his love by teasing, but it was all in good fun. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. He was the type of man that would do anything for anyone, anytime.
He is survived by his wife, MaryBeth; children, Crystal (Randy) Spencer, Gennifer Day, Aadam (Nicole) Day, and Collin (Hayley) Day; grandchildren, Isaac Spencer, Noah Day, Gabriel Day, and Everlee Day; mother, Judith Day; siblings, Neal (Vanessa) Day, Alan (DeAnn) Day, and Dan (Sandy) Day; nieces, Hailey Day and Michaela Day; uncle, Michael Roselle; fur-baby, Taya.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Day; grandmother, Genevieve Worden.
