Marilyn J Message, age 90, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023. Marilyn was born on December 16, 1932 in Chicago, Il to David and Mabel Moore. In 1950 Marilyn graduated from Lake Zurich High School. Marilyn was a patient person and a devoted mom, even through all the trials that she faced in life. Marilyn enjoyed roller skating with her husband, John "Jack" Message.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Michael (Barbara) Message; grandchildren, Vikki (Scott) Hill, Jennifer (Mark) Diefenbacher, Joanne (Dave) Mueller; great grandchildren, Jesse (Taylor) Hill, Laci Hill, Hannah Diefenbacher, Michael Diefenbacher, David J. Mueller, and Nolan Mueller; great great grandchild, Wesley Hill; siblings, Sharon Frank and Sue (Ed) Okpisz; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Message; son, Bob Message; brothers, Roy Moore and Roger Moore.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 1pm until the time of service at 2pm at Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115). Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
