

Rockford, IL- Mary E. Bloyer, 69 of Rockford passed away peacefully on Wednesday
August 19, 2015 at home, with her loving husband by her side. Born in Rockford Illinois on June 7, 1946 to William Summers and Lillian (Collis) Summers. She grew up in Loves Park with friends fondly remembered as the Elm Street Kids. Mary graduated from Harlem High School in 1964. She married her high school sweetheart Robert Bloyer in 1980. Mary worked for Fox 39 as Administrative Assistant to the General Manager. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, she loved life and enjoyed it to its fullest, She bungee jumped at the age of 45, got her first tattoo at the age of 65. She was a volunteer counselor at RASA, St Jude’s, and various other charities. She was known to all of her children’s friends as Mom, and to all of her grandchildren’s friends as grandma. She was known as Momma to her beloved dog Gizmo.
Survived by husband Robert Bloyer, daughter Lisa Bloyer (Matthew Whipple) (Stillman Valley IL),
Terri Gray (Gilbert AZ.), William Bloyer (Rockford), Grandchildren Dustin, Brandon, Samantha,
Kayla, William, Jake, Mary Paige.
Predeceased by Mother Lillian Summers, Father William Summers, and Brother William “Jr.” Summers, Father-in-law Wesley Bloyer, Mother-in-law Blanch Bloyer, Sister-in-law Trudy Bloyer.

Services will be held on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park IL.
Visitation from 4 p.m. until service at 6 p.m.
