Matthew J. Mutchler, 58, of Lindenwood, IL, passed away peacefully, Thursday afternoon, June 29, 2023 in his home after a long illness. He was born June 8, 1965 in West Bend, WI, the son of Edwin D. and Junabelle (Luke) Mutchler. Matt managed Blue Moon Bikes in Sycamore, IL for many years. He was an avid collector of bikes, cars, pinball machines, and assorted items. Matt's bike collection of Schwinn Krates was his pride and joy.
Matt is survived by his father, Edwin Mutchler of Birchwood, Wisconsin; siblings, Fred (J.) Mutchler, Beth (Jerry) O'Brien, John (Perrin) Mutchler, Mark (Shari) Mutchler, and Mary Durrenberger; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Junabelle, his furry companion, Toulo and his fish, Fish.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115.
