Michael B. Linden

Michael B. Linden, 67, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away peacefully, Wednesday evening, December 3, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 29, 1957 in Rockford, IL, the son of Stanley and Audrey Linden. Michael graduated from Harlem High School, class of 1976. He owned and operated a Christmas tree farm in Roscoe for several years. Michael was a talented snow sculptor; and sculpted many elaborate creations throughout his career. He loved playing music, especially the guitar. Mike enjoyed playing pool. He had a green thumb and loved being in his garden. Mike enjoyed tinkering with cars. He was an avid Chicago Bears Fan. Most of all, He loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Mike is loved and missed by his siblings, Kathi Jurkowski, Chuck (Tina) Linden and Donna (Dan) Knabusch; nieces and nephews, Tara (Garrick) Fry, David (Tiffany Waltz) Sparkman, Shawn Lopata, Brian (Mel) Lopata, Kyle (Brenda) Linden, Casey (Laura) Linden, Katie (Trevor) Gerson; as well several great-nephews and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Jerry Jurkowski.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Croix Hospice, especially Betty, Lisa and Sarah, for their loving and compassionate care of Mike during the last year. They truly became our family.
