Michael L Otten

Michael Lee Otten, 66, of Machesney Park passed away on Wednesday November 2, 2016. Michael was born on October 5, 1950 in Rockford, IL. The son of Leroy and Lois (Southard) Otten. Michael married Patricia Fields on July 2, 1979 in St Louis, MO. He worked at Strandquist Motor for 25 years. He also worked at Napa Auto parts for several years. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, bowling, playing Bingo and watching the Chicago Bears. Together with Patricia they enjoyed their motorcycle rides on their Harley Davidson. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially loved playing with his dog, Tiki.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; step-children, Tina (Jimmy) Woods, Wade (Marla) Fields, Stuart Fields, Curtis (Nicole) Fields; brother, Bill Samuels; sister, Connie (Jack) Kruit; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special dog, Tiki. Predeceased by his parents; step-son, Fredrick Fields; sister-in-law, Jeannie Samuels.

Memorial Service at 6 p.m. on Wednesday November 9 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Visitation at 5 p.m. until time of service. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
