

Mildred Blakley, 79, Delavan, Wisconsin, passed away on June 7, 2013. She was born on January 25, 1934 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin to Carl and Dorothy (Street) Klaman. She married Joseph Blakley on February 24, 1951 in Dubuque Iowa, and remained with him until his passing.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed puzzles, gardening, birds, bingo and a card game her family affectionately called “Nickels”. But she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mildred is survived by her son, Kenneth (Cindy) Blakley; grandchildren, Jeremy (Tracie) Blakley, Chad (Neva) Blakely, Joe Blakley and Jacob (Amanda) Blakley; great grandchildren, Skylar, Abbie and Tristan; sisters, Marjorie Way and Bonnie (Ron) Liermann; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; parents, Carl and Dorothy; a son, Walter Blakley; and siblings, Barbara Hines, Doris Klaman, Sharlyne Blackburn and Charles Klaman.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm on June 15, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park. Reverend Ron Meyer will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 1pm to time of service. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
