Patricia M. Wessel, 76, of Byron, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2011 in Neighbors Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Born July 10, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of, George and Elizabeth (Huber) Muschweck. She lived 19 years in South Florida before moving back to the Rockford area. She was a member of Kishwaukee Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her son, William (Sherry) Wessel; daughters, Joan (Randy) Moore, and Nancy Harkey; grandchildren, Rich, Rob, Katie, Sara and Billy; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Danica, Libbey and Eden; God daughter, Kimberly; sister, Joan; sister-in-law, Adelle; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Avis and Terry Beaver, John and Mary Hauschildt. Predeceased by her husband, Richard Wessel; parents, brother and sisters. Cremation rites will be accorded. Private family services to be held in the spring.
