Ralph Torgerson

Ralph B. Torgerson, 88, of Rockford, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Born March 10, 1929 in Ferryville, WI. He was one of 14 to Phillip and Eva (Seymour) Torgerson. Married Mary Ditto on January 6, 1954. She predeceased him on January 30, 2017. Member of Eastside Church of Christ. Retired from Sunstrand in 1985 after 30 years at age of 55.

Survived by children, Randy (Julie) Torgerson and Becky (Larry) Johnson; grandchildren, Kenna Johnson, Rachel (Robert Allgaeuer) Torgerson, and Mary “Katy” Torgerson; great-granddaughter, Alexis Allgaeuer; siblings, Betty Cox, Ila Lee, Joann Scott, Mildred Young; several nieces, nephews and special friends. Predeceased by his parents; spouse; grandson, Eric Johnson; siblings, Doris Henderson, Roy Torgerson, Neil Torgerson, Avery Torgerson, Delman Torgerson, Phyllis Williams Shirley Vandiver, Margie Torgerson, Faye Torgerson.

Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Visitation at 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial following in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
