

Randolph “Randy” John Eric Nyman, 79, of Machesney Park, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born August 24, 1936 in Rockford, IL. Son of Carl Eric and Helen Ruth (Kolesky) Nyman. Veteran of the United States Army. Married Mary Lou Wilken on September 13, 1958 in Rockford, IL. Together they shared 57 years and raised three children.
He was a very dedicated worker employed by Cole Chemical Company for many years and ran Randy Nyman Handyman Service for over 30 years. During his retirement he worked for Farm & Fleet. Lifetime member of the LLL Club. He was a family man that provided for his family. No one ever went without. Loved family gatherings and the family trip to Minnesota for fishing every year. An avid fisherman with his best friend of over 50 years John Bengtson. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Megan and Carlie and his great-grandchildren, Madison and Riley. He had many faithful companions thru out the years most recently his dogs, Destiny and Jackson.
Survivors include wife, Mary Lou; children, Scott Nyman, Jeff Nyman and Brenda (Jim) Johnson; granddaughters, Megan (Gedi Surantas) Montalvo and Carlie Johnson; great-granddaughters, Madison Munson and Riley Munson; sister, Shirley Champion.
Predeceased by parents; sister, Connie Coffman; best friend, John Bengtson. Special thanks to Michelle and the other Angels from Heartland Hospice for their care.
