        A  Successful Man

As a child, he was one of his parents' joys,
This love increased as he grew to be a man.
Fulfilling his dreams as they came along,
Impressing his values on so many along the way.

Devoted to his wife and family,
He cherished each and every one.
His lovely wife, Sally, completed him,
Vickie and Steve increased his joy and love.

He chose to give so much of himself,
So that many could achieve their goals.
He never felt that he was being used,
But received joy by others' achievements.

My hero as a small child he was,
Ice cream to be lovingly shared.
The Godfather of my firstborn child,
And namesake to my second child.

Now as an angel he'll always be,
Watching over each and every one.
I know that many have this heartfelt thought.
Thank you for being a part of my life.

As we grieve our loss, may we all remember the amazing life that he lived.  Now in heaven, he is still looking out for all his "cherubs".  Love and prayers to all.

 So sorry to learn of uncle Ray's passing. He was a great man,the perfect santa for years @ Christmas' at aunt joyce and uncle Lou's , a good  trade instructor, a good  mechanic that I had the privilege of working with for a short time at Miller engineering and also a great uncle! He will be severely missed ... love and prayers to you all as we all grieve during this time

Our sincere condolences to the Knutson family. He was always the life of the party at family events. He has left us a legacy of fond memories. He is now in the hands of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May the Lord Bless and comfort the Knutson family in their time of grief. We will miss him!

I wanted to add some of things that endeared Uncle Ray to me. There was rarely an event he left without some sort of humor or dry comment that made you laugh. He authentically portrayed Santa Claus for numerous years at a family open house event, putting old and young upon his knee! I fondly remember him trying to call Bingo year after year on a less than adequate speaker system out at the park for the Local's summer picnics as well. One of my favorite memories is from way back, when he and Aunt Sally used to glide around the dance floor to their favorite polka; he could do this with his eyes closed and made it look like they were floating on air.  I'll miss him. So sorry Aunt Sally and family!!

Our dear friend Ray will be sadly missed. He was a kind caring friend and extraordinary leader toward our Sons of Norway Valhall Lodge membership. Ray had a ready smile and lively conversation during gatherings. He had a  Viking's sense of adventure --ready for a new idea anytime. We are truely blessed to have shared our time together.

I have known Ray for over thirty years as a friend,instructor and co worker. Ray will be missed deeply at Local 23 by all who have had the privilege of knowing him.

I am very sorry for your loss.  I will miss Ray and his devotion to family, friends and his many civic contributions.  We always enjoyed his diligence in whatever tasks he chose, but most of all his warmth coupled with his dry, dry wit.  Ray was one of the few very good men that I have met in my lifetime.

Sons of Norway Valhall Lodge will deeply miss the presence of Ray.  He was generous with his time, knowledge and lighthearted Norwegian jokes.  He served as our lodge Treasurer,the District 5 Treasurer, Director,Vice President, President, and ultimately the International Director and Treasurer. One of his more recent offerings was to let the lodge use his "Viking Ship" at the Midtown Ethnic Heritage Parades then the 2016 Midsummer Festival which was enjoyed by several thousand community members.  
We send condolences to the Knutson family, especially his wife Sally who served alongside Ray.

I am so sorry for your loss,Ray will be missed by all who knew him I was fortunate to have known him for many years and valued his friendship and knowledge of plumbing.You are in my thoughts and prayers.
