My favorite memory with being with my grandpa was combing his hair. Another good time favorite was Halloween when we got big candy bars. Every year! Staying with my grandpa while my mom got food/ groceries. There is so many more memories with my grandpa that i had. I miss him so much!

Wayne and Bob was in Viet Nam together and Wayne and his family visited him years ago in Rockford and then a couple of years ago Bob called Wayne's home number and Wayne and his wife Ina Mae was on vacation and when they got home they received a message and called him and Wayne and him visited quite awhile And like many things One always think they have time to do this  Wayne and Ina Mae want to extend their sympathy to Bob's family  They have just found out about his funeral  May you rest in peace BOB

I worked with Bob for many years at Metcut.  He was the Guroo of the Finish Sharpening area.  We spoke everyday,about work, family which he loved dearly and just stuff.  I am sorry for your loss, he will be greatly missed.

I am going to miss my partner in crime here on kinsey st.  Bob was such great man with a heart of gold. Nothing on this block will ever be the same without him. Please let us know if there is anything we can help with. 

From growingup in the 50's and graduating in the early 60's, Bob and I were close buddies. Doing things teenage boys did then, just boys being boys. We shared many common bonds until after graduation.  Our lives slipped into manhood and the responsibilites in that. Over the years, over the time, and through the challenges of life, we never once lost that bond of trust, friendship & brotherhood. We always just " picked up where we left off" regardless of the time between. Bob was, is and forever will be a brother. A brother who is always there for me, not against me; understanding not judgemental. I will miss him always and never forget him. Forward ever, backward never. RIP BRO

Bob was best friends with my older brother and was frequently at our home.  He definately was an older brother and showed much respect and politeness to our entire family.  I grew up w much respect for him.  My heart aches at his loss and my sincere condolences to his family.  I will forever recall the memories made and shared with him as I brag on the fact I know him and the legacy he left for us.

The first time I met Bob was the day he came to our home in Rockford to attend a birthday party for Jessica, his loving granddaughter.
I was immediately impresed with his friendliness and kindness, and felt as if we were old friends.

Due to unintentional circumstances;  we didn't get to spend a lot time together during the twenty one years we lived in Rockford....but, I always considered Bob to be much more than just a member of the same family.

He will be sorely missed.

To you, Bob Pippel: rest in peace.....you are one of the great ones!....A special father, grandfather, and friend.

Great grandchildren; Joevanni L. Martinez, Julian S. Johnson, Ehleanna R. Johnson, Neluis J. Pippel, Haley N. Jackson, Brantley M. Jackson, Khloe M. Pippel, Chase C. Mclain.
His brothers; Harper Pippel and Jerome Pippel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Pippel, grandson, Jared N. Pippel, and great-grandchild, Angel S. Johnson.
