Robert T. McGrew, 41, of Beloit, WI, passed away surrounded by his family on July 4, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, MN. He was born on December 19, 1980 in Rockford, IL to David and Cynthia (Libby) McGrew. Rob was a 1999 graduate of Harlem High School and went on to work as a Service Tech Supervisor for Spectrum. He married Shannon Murrey on November 6, 2020. Rob enjoyed anything to do with being outdoors, especially; duck hunting, golfing, fishing, and camping. He was known as loving, kind, thoughtful, and had a great sense of humor. Rob was very devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Rob is survived by his loving wife, Shannon; his parents, David and Cynthia McGrew; his daughters, Marlie and Gabrielle Champeny; his nieces, Emily and Chloe Falash; and his nephews, Jaymison Deporster and Charles Murrey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his sisters, Samantha Falash and Lisa McGrew; and his fishing buddy Joe Fertitta.

Celebration of Rob’s Life will take place from 9:00AM – 11:00AM on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL 61115. Private burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
