Robert "Bob" Glenn Tatman, 77, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. Born on March 24, 1947, in Monticello, IL, Bob lived a life filled with passion, hard work, and devotion to his family.
A man of deep faith, Bob was a devoted Christian and a lover of Israel. His faith guided him throughout his life, shaping his kindness, generosity, and unwavering belief in God’s promises.
Bob dedicated his career as a project manager, where his leadership and determination made a lasting impact. Beyond his work, he had a deep love for Ferraris and racing. A true car enthusiast, one of the greatest highlights of his life was the exhilarating experience of racing a Ferrari around a track. He was also an avid sports fan, always cheering on the Bears, Cubs, and Bulls. His enthusiasm for life and unwavering support of his favorite teams brought joy to those around him.
Above all, Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren and loved being a part of their life milestones, celebrating their achievements, and supporting them in every way he could. His family was his greatest joy; his love and guidance will live on through them.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Paulette Tatman; his children, Joshua (Melissa) Tatman and Jessica Tatman; his cherished grandchildren, Malik Coleman, Aron Tatman, Olivia Weddle, Isaiah Tatman, and Max Tatman; his sister, Sue (Dale) Proctor; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Arlene Tatman, and his brother, Daniel Tatman.
Visitation and a memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on March 1, 2025, at Life Church (5910 Elevator Rd, Roscoe, IL 61073). Visitation will take place from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by the service at 11:30 AM, with a luncheon to follow.
