Sharon D. Brandt

Sharon D. Brandt, 76, of Machesney Park went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Sharon was born on April 10, 1943 in Parkers Prairie, MN, the daughter of Louis E. and Verna (Zeisemer) Freier. She married David Brandt on June 3, 1989 at St. Paul’s Lutheran in Rockford. Sharon was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, St. Paul’s Ladies Guild, she attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School and West High. She was employed at Amerock for 13 years, Norgen for 15 years and Harmony Living Center for 6 years. Sharon loved to go camping, fishing, traveling, baking and snowmobiling. Sharon enjoyed being with family and friends. Sharon will be missed by family including her husband David; son: Louis (Katty) Roggensack; daughter: Linda (Jim) Rich; step-daughter: Kim (Al) Larson; step-sons: David Jr., Scott (Jami) Brandt, Patrick (Brigit) Martin; grandchildren: Emily Roggensack, Jennifer, Brian and Amy Messinger; step-grandchildren: Taylor, Tanner and Kael Brandt; 2 great-grandsons; sister Louise Johnson; sister-in-law: Loretta Freier; nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, twin sons Terry and Gary Roggensack and son Scotty Roggensack; brothers Virgil Freier, LeRoy and Dennis Eggert; sister Marla Hobson.

Visitation for Sharon will be Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park; services to celebrate Sharon’s life will be at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel of Love.
