Sharon E. Krepfle, 80, of Rockford, IL, passed peacefully, Wednesday morning, December 6, 2023. She was born April 4, 1943 in Rockford, the daughter of Ruth Schmutzler and Gustave Schultz. Sharon married the love of her life, Frank Krepfle, on June 25, 1960 in Rockford. She was a homemaker for most of her life, who adored raising her children and spending time with grandchildren. Sharon was a die hard Chicago Cubs fan, who rarely missed a game. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for family and painting ceramics in her spare time. She enjoyed playing euchre, where she and Frank taught the entire family how to play. The family plays an annual euchre tournament every year. Sharon was the matriarch of our family who will be deeply missed.
Sharon is loved and missed by her husband of 63 years, Frank; children, Connie (Mike) McManus, Sherry (Mark) Alloway and Thomas (Dee) Krepfle; grandchildren, Brandon (Elizabeth) McCann, Shane (Alyssa) Alloway, Paige (Brandon McNames) Krepfle, Mason Krepfle and Ashley Alloway. She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Sean McCann.

A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machensey Park, IL 61115 with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
