Teresa J. Perkins

Teresa J. Perkins, 82, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away peacefully, Tuesday morning, September 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 26, 1939 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Jean Ksenzarski. Teresa married the love of her life, Robert Perkins on April 10, 1960. She was employed at Clinton Electronics, Skeet’s, Vitners and at OSF. Teresa was the best bargain shopper, who enjoyed going to garage sales and finding treasures at the thrift store. Most of all, she was content sitting outside on her porch swing and spending time with her family.

Teresa is loved and missed by her children, Joe (Gina) Perkins, Jean (William) Bilodeau, John (Debbie) Perkins, Richard (Terri) Perkins, grandchildren, John Perkins, Brandon (Hanna) Perkins, Bobby Perkins, Britney (Dalton) Mauro, Jessica Perkins, Amber (Taras) Kasyanyuk, Katie Perkins, great-grandchildren, Joshua, Dexter, Adrian, Elliana, Noah, and Athena, extended family, Doris Schmoldt, Sissy Schultz and Debora Peterson; Janice (Chris) Richards, Judy Ann Spregler, Pamela (Seth) Ziegler, Bobbie Lynn Schultz and Larry Dale (Mandy) Schultz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, son Robert, one brother and one sister.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to OSF Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Teresa.

A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL, 6115 with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
