Tina Woody

Tina Woody, 68, of Machesney Park, passed away Tuesday March 6, 2012 at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford.

She was born September 7, 1943 in Pollard, Arkansas the daughter of Homer and Viola (Harper) Williams, she married David Woody May 23 1969, he survives her she is also survived by her daughters; Lori (Chris Taft) Zimmerman and Toni (Terry) Hughart, her grandchildren Jeffery (Sara) Zimmerman, Jeremy (Amanda) Zimmerman, Jordan (Ashley Jensen) Zimmerman, Leta Hughart, Kyra Hughart, her great grandchildren; Emma, Chloe,Lane, Alyea and Jaxx, five sisters; Clara (Richard) Reed, Verna (Roger) Robbins, Roze (Tony) Short, Phyllis Crawford and Darlene (Mike) Nagy, one brother; Wendell Williams and many nieces and nephews whom she loved so much, and took great pride in collecting and sharing memories of them. She was always there to lend a helping hand. A special thank you to Shelly for always being there for Mom. Childhood friend, Sharon Yanez and the best friend a person could ever have! Mary Gilbert.

Tina was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved Aunt Mayola Utley and Nephew Christopher Woody

She was a U.A.W. Local 1268 Retiree Chapter Associate Member, and Volunteer, she worked for many years for the Blue Star Potato Chip Company and then for Ramada Inn.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday March 11, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home at 8800 North Alpine Road in Machesney Park at 10:00a.m., visitation will take place one hour prior to services.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to ASPCA or to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
