

Troy Douglas Boyer, 48, was welcomed into heaven on Friday, April 3, 2015. Born July 19, 1966 in Rockford, Illinois, son of Bobby Jack and Janice (James) Glovier. Troy was a 1984 graduate of Harlem High School. Troy was a volunteer member of the Harlem Roscoe Fire Department, 1984 to 1986. He married Kelli A. Keifling on August 16, 1986 in Machesney Park, Illinois. They have a daughter, Megan who lovingly called him PaPa.
Troy was a very hard worker who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He was a grinding lead man at PBC Linear, and worked part-time at North Park Rental. When not working, Troy relished spending time with his family. He loved going fishing with his daughter, Megan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was a friend to many, and always made people feel at ease with his warm smile.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Kelli Boyer, Loves Park; daughter, Megan Boyer, Loves Park; adoptive mother, Norma Boyer, Machesney Park; brother, Todd (Lisa) Boyer, Loves Park; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane and Doug Bennett, Machesney Park; brother-in-law, Mike Thompson, Elbert, Colorado; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by mother, Janice Glovier; brothers Timothy Boyer and Rod Glovier; and adoptive father, Alfred Boyer.
