Virginia M. Kruse, 87, of Rockford passed at Swedish American Hospital on May 15, 2011. Born June 15, 1923, in Litchfield, IL, the daughter of Cecil & Pearl (Metzger) Elliott. Married Harry E. Kruse on December 21, 1941, in Rockford. Member of Central Christian Church. She was a member of the Rockford Clown Alley, known as “Cherry Blossom” the clown. Survivors include sons, Paul (Rita) Kruse of Colorado and David Kruse of Leaf River; loving grandchildren, Jeremy (Melissa) Kruse, Lori (Jeff) Carson, Shannon (Scott) Zittle and Tamara (Charley) Brinkmeier; and great-grandchildren, Garrett and Greyson Zittle, Rebecca Brinkmeier, Gabrielle Zittle, and Emmett Carson; sisters, Pauline Eggert and Maxine Goolsbey. Predeceased by her parents; husband; daughter- in-law, Shirley; brother- in-laws Marshal and Charles. Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Central Christian Church, 6595 Guilford Road, Rockford, with Pastor Dan Craig officiating.
