Vivian J Larson

She was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on June 13, 1931, the daughter of Frank and Larene Shain. Vivian married Claud “Bud” Larson on March 23, 1963, they had 49 wonderful years together- he survives her.

Vivian enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She devoted much of her time caring for her special daughter, Kay. She was a lifelong member of Halsted Baptist Church. For more than 25 years she enjoyed her work at H&R Block.

She is survived by her sons, Gary (Cathy) Tallacksen, Ron (Linda) Tallacksen, Brian (Bev) Tallacksen); daughters, Linda Cordell, Carol Richards, Judy (Paul) Fernandez, Joanne (Bob) Kibbe; sisters, Rosie Cesarz, Mary Smith, Jackie Collins, Linda Shain, Marilyn LeVoy; brothers Chuck (Gloria) Shain, Mike (Linda) Shain; sister-in-law, Irma Larson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Hubert (Babe) and Velma Larson and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Vivian is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Kay Carlston; sisters Marty Sterner, Dorothy Wisocki; son-in laws Leon Cordell, Harold Richards and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in law.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to the D-3 ICU/CCU staff for all the loving care and support for our Mother’s stay.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, with a funeral service on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11am at Sunset Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pastor Jerry DeMond will be officiating.
