Wayne F. Toepfer, 84, of Roscoe, passed away May 21, 2015 OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born October 10, 1930 in Loran Township; he was the son of Ernest and Mary (Towberman) Toepfer and husband of LaVon (Singer) Toepfer.
A member of St. Edward Catholic Church, Wayne retired from Clinton Electronics after many years of employment.
He enjoyed attending the local YMCA, gardening, playing the slot machines, and watching comedies on television.
Survivors include his children, Brad Toepfer, Carol Bradley, Rick (Pam) Toepfer, Tim (Gail) Toepfer, and Mary (Terry) Boatwright; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther Daughenbaugh and Lois Jessup; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; wife; daughter, Linda Pearson; daughter-in-law, Judy Toepfer; brothers, Leroy and Robert.
Funeral mass 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26th, at St. Edward Catholic Church, 3004 11th St, Rockford; Father William Vallejo officiating. Visitation 9:30 a.m. to time of service. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be submitted at sunsetfhmemgardens.com
