Wendy was a dedicated employee for OSF for 6 years, worked on front-line during Covid-19 and loved taking care of people. She had a gift for comforting and caring for others. She adored her co-workers and patients. Wendy enjoyed volunteering in the nursery at her church. Her greatest gift, though, was in being a mother. She loved her children more than anything. They were truly her pride and joy in life. She also enjoyed the companionship of the many friends and extended family who came to know and love Wendy. Her family and friends will miss her big presence in their lives but rejoices knowing she is at peace in the loving arms of the lord.
Please join Wendy’s family in celebrating her life with a visitation from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115, with a funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Heath Tibbetts officiating.
We would like to extend a special thanks to Gary Dobbs and Priscella Ruggeberg. A special thanks to OSF hospice nurse Rebecca and Janelle. A special thanks to the Wendy Watchers (Cammi, Laura, Margaret) and Wendy Warriors.
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
