

William H. Fuller, 86, of Machesney Park, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones Saturday September 17, 2016. Born December 21, 1929 in Rockford, IL. Son of William C. and Ethel M. (Petrie) Fuller. Veteran of the United States Air Force having served in the Korean War. Married Mavis Strommer on November 23, 1956 and later they were sealed for all time and eternity in the Logan Temple in Utah. Devout member and worker of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Worked as a Testman for 36 years at Hamilton Sundstrand. William was a very compassionate man who would welcome anyone with open arms. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, reading scriptures, going for walks and playing Scrabble. His favorite pastime was spent with his family and friends. Together with Mavis they traveled many times out west to visit various family and grandchildren.
Survived by his loving wife Mavis; children, Thomas Fuller, Julie (Earl) Seegrist, Kari (Sonja Kaufman) Fuller, David (Tammy) Fuller, Amy (Curtis Woods) Fuller, Brian Fuller, Tara (Thomas Elder) Fuller, Kristin (Aaron Cole) Parham, Andrew (Amanda) Fuller; 31 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin Fuller; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; siblings, Robert Smith, James Fuller, Betty Fuller; grandson, Corey Fuller.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 30 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 620 N. Alpine Road, Rockford. Visitation at 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. To share a memory or condolence visit www.sunsetfhmemgardens.com
