

Wilma J. Buttice Swick, 90, of Rockford passed away on Friday August 3, 2012 at River Bluff Nursing Home in Rockford.
She was born June 8, 1922 in Rockford the daughter of Filippo and Louise Kutzucos Buttice. She married James E. Swick on June 20, 1942. Wilma worked for over thirty years before retiring from Rockford West High School Cafeteria. She was a lifetime member of the Sons of Norway. Her interests included making crafts, playing cards, and camping with the Blackhawk Cross Trailers and Hononegah Camping clubs.
Her great love was her grandchildren, and she spent as much time with them as she could, She was also a member of several area square dancing clubs for the past 50 years, including Jabols, Dons and Dolls, Jolly Twirlers and Forest City Squares.
She is survived by her children Edward Swick, Dennis (Anna) Swick and Dawn (Kevin) Taylor, grandchildren, Edward Swick, Stacey (Josh) Osterberg, Sarah Swick, Catherine (David) Wenk, Ashley Taylor and Cortney Taylor also surviving are 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Louis and Benjamin Buttice. And her Step Father Carl Hedlund.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park, IL. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday August 10, 2012 also at Sunset Funeral Home. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park, IL.
