Barbara Nell Bishop Toland

Barbara Nell Bishop Toland, 79, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jimmy Corbitt will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. They may be contacted at the home of Steve and Kelli Toland. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 365 Pea Ridge Road, Juliette 31046.

Mrs. Toland was born in Barnesville, GA to the late Hamlin and Addie Maude Bishop. She was married to the late Marshall Toland on July 24, 1951. Barbara was an active member of Bethany Baptist Church and was an Operating Room Tech at Middle Georgia Hospital and later was employed at the office of Dr. Duncan Walker. She was preceded in death by a sister, June Blackburn and brothers, Jerry Bishop and Wayne Bishop all of Alabama.

A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be missed by the family she adored, her sons, Mike Toland and Steve (Kelli) Toland all of Macon; beloved grandchildren Jamie (Christina) Toland, Justin Toland, Mikaela Toland, Chad Toland, Parker Toland and Chandler Toland; two great grandchildren; her brother, James Donald Bishop of Alabama and numerous nieces and nephews.
