Barney Lewis Watts Sr.

Macon – Barney Lewis Watts, Sr., passed away September 14, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday September 17, 2012 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel Pio Nono. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Rev. David Yancey will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Watts was born in Macon, GA and was the son of the late Barney Hamilton Watts and Hattie Harelson Watts. He was the widower of Myrtice Suddeth Watts, and was retired from Armstrong Corp. Mr. Watts loved spending time with his family, travel and watching sports especially football and baseball.

Survivors include his children, Barney Lewis Watts, Jr. (Martha) of Lizella, Sharon Carroll (Wendell) of Byron, Ronald Watts of Lizella, and Kenneth Watts of Macon; sister, Mary Brown (Charles) of Macon; eight grandchildren, David, Joel, Joshua, Lyn, Joseph, April, Kristen, and Faren; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
