Barry Lyndon Weatherly

Macon- Barry Lyndon Weatherly, 68, passed away on June 29, 2012 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Ingleside Baptist Church with Dr. David Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Westover Memorial Cemetery in Augusta on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 1:00 PM with the Reverend Archie Moore officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Saturday evening at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street.

Mr. Weatherly was born in Zebulon, Georgia to Julia Weatherly and the late James Calvin Weatherly, Sr. Mr. Weatherly was a member of the Macon Duplicate Bridge Club. He became a Silver Life Master and was a member of a team that won the District 7 championship, thus earning his team a trip to Canada to compete at the national level. He served on the board of directors of the club and was awarded Good Sportsman of the Year. He was an integral and cherished member of the club. He was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church, the Truthseekers Sunday School Class and Civitan. He worked for Fisher Scientific and Citi Group. He was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County, Augusta, Georgia and the University of Georgia.

Mr. Weatherly is survived by his loving wife: Caroline Youngblood Weatherly of Macon; daughter: Jennifer (Bryan) Babb of Ringgold, GA; Grandchildren: Taylor, Ethan and Arden Babb all of Ringgold, GA; mother: Julia Weatherly of Martinez, GA; siblings Dr. James (Connie) Weatherly, Jr of Chattanooga, TN; Glenda (Archie) Moore of Greenwood, SC, Janice (Tommy) Williams of Augusta, GA, Penny (Robert) Kearney of Harlem, GA; several nieces and nephews.
