Benjie Eidson Hudson, age 82, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. She was born in Waycross, Georgia on September 11, 1939 to the late Jewell Bussell Eidson and Clarence Strother Eidson, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Benjamin G. Hudson, Jr.; her daughter, Molly Hudson Watson (Robert L. Harris); her sons; Barry G. Hudson (Amy James Hudson) and Benjamin G. Hudson, III; her grandchildren; Stuart S. Watson, Walker Lee Hudson and Malone Strother Hudson; her sister, Judy Aberle (Raymond Aberle); and her brother Clarence Strother Eidson, Jr.
Benjie Eidson Hudson attended Mercer University, where she was a Phi Mu and earned a degree in Education in 1960. She taught at T.D. Tinsley Elementary School before becoming a full-time homemaker. She was deeply invested in the caring support of her family. She was a longtime member of Vineville Baptist Church. She was an avid cyclist and tennis player. She enjoyed spending time in the mountains with her family and friends. She was a longtime volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
A private graveside service will be held for family in Riverside Cemetery on Thursday. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road from 4 until 6 o'clock. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia.
