

Betsy "BB" Hatcher Hibble, 97, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Monday June 16, 2025. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Ga. 31210 or Martha Bowman Methodist Church, 500 Bass Road, Macon, GA 31210.
Betsy graduated from Dublin High School with honors and then attended Georgia State College for Women. She completed her studies at Mercer University where she met her devoted husband of 66 years, Norman. She earned a degree in Education and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
Betsy worked at the Department of Family and Children Services for 5 years before beginning her career in real estate. After becoming an associate broker with Fickling and Walker, she opened her own company, Hibble, Walker, and Douglas. She later sold that company to Fickling and Walker where she remained until retirement. Betsy was presented the Phoenix, Silver, Crystal, and Diamond award by the Macon Board of Realtors, was a graduate of the Georgia Real Estate Institute and held the Certified Residential Specialist designation from the National Association of Realtors. She was honored as Realtor of the Year and was an active member of the Macon Board of Realtors where she served as a Director.
Betsy was a past member of Idle Hour Country Club, Martha Bowman Methodist Church and the Hill and Dale Garden Club. She enjoyed spending most of her free time at Saint Simons Island, Ga. and traveling with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lindsey Erasmus Hatcher and Evelyn Weatherly Hatcher, her husband Ralph Norman Hibble and son Ralph Norman Hibble Jr. and sister Linda Hatcher Wigley.
Survivors include her children, Kay Hibble Hollis (Sam) of Macon, GA, Lenn Hibble Hopkins (Henry) of Waynesboro, GA and Amelia Hibble Holleman (Howard) of Macon, GA; grandchildren, Annie Hibble Janoski (Jordan) of Jacksonville, FL, Parker Hibble (Meredith) of Dallas TX, Emma Hibble of Alpharetta, GA, Hank Hopkins (Lauren) of Waynesboro, GA, Jim Hopkins of Waynesboro, GA, Hendley Holleman of Brunswick GA, and Mary Del Holleman Crabb (Alex) of Phoenix, AZ; great-grandchildren Hayden Hibble of Dallas,TX Harper and Eloise Crabb of Phoenix, AZ; several nieces and nephews.
The family is grateful for her three devoted caregivers Kimberly Walker, Wanda Dallas and Sha'wanda Dallas.
Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, is in charge of arrangements.
