Carl Davis Wrye

Carl Davis Wrye, age 95, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Visitation will be Friday, August 8, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Hills Church, 1217 Forest Hill Road, Macon, Georgia 31210 followed by a Celebration of his Life beginning at 2:00 PM. Rev. Jeremy Wilson will officiate. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Forest Hills Church or Pine Pointe Hospice.

Carl was born in Macon the son of the late Ada Lee Wrye and Annie Davis Wrye. He was a graduate of Lanier High School for Boys in 1948. As a life-long athlete, he excelled in baseball, golf and bowling. He loved cheering for his sports teams, GA Tech and the Atlanta Braves and attended games whenever he could. As a member of Forest Hills Church, he was a part of the Grace Bible Class. Carl was retired from Armstrong Corp. after 40 years of service as an electrical supervisor.

He is preceded in death by his wives, Betty Smallwood Wrye and Juanita Jones Holton Wrye; his daughter, Carol Wrye Canady; four brothers and four sisters. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, children, Kay Wrye Hefner, Charlotte Wrye, Jacki Holton Heath, Janice Holton Grinstead (Harrell), Judy Holton Rogers (Joey), Jim Holton (Amy); 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends who became family at the Oaks at Lake Wildwood.

Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, has charge of arrangements.
