Corine Brown Jones

MACON – Corine Brown Jones, 81, joined her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 21, 2012. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial at 2 p.m., in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church, Danville. Dr. Otis Andrews and the Rev. Joe McDaniel will officiate. The family will meet friends from 3 – 5 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. They ask that those who wish make memorial contributions to Glenwood Hills Baptist Church, 3225 Rice Mill Road, Macon 31206.

Ms. Jones, daughter of the late Joe Lee Brown and Willis Ann Howell Brown, was born in Danville and was retired from the Office of Personnel Management, Macon. She was a member of Glenwood Hills Baptist Church and the New Life Sunday School Class.

A loving mother, grandmother and sister, she will be missed by the family she cherished, her sons, Mike Jones and Mark Jones (Jennifer), all of Macon; her beloved grandchildren, Casey Jones and Corey Jones, of Macon; her brothers, Joe Brown, Milton Brown and Paul Brown, all of Danville; her sister, Thelma Griffis of Macon and a number of nieces and nephews.
