
Curtis “Curt” Alvin Howard, 74, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s Memorial Chapel, 1419 Bass Road, Macon GA. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or St. Jude Children’s Research, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
Curt was born in Maysville, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy P. Howard Alvoid. Curt served his country and retired from the United States Air Force after twenty-two years of service. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed music and spending time at the beach with his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, JoAnn Howard, children, Lynn (Kevin) Foster, Curtis Howard, Gregory Howard, Shanitra Richard, grandchildren, Jaiden Howard, Kevin Foster Jr., Kaylyn (Kemar) Benjamin, Danija Talmadge, Eyrus Richard, Eli Howard, Ethan Howard, Cam’Ron Richard, two great grandchildren, siblings, Roger Matthews, Laura Gail Alphin and Walter Ray Howard and several nieces and nephews.
