David G. Twilley

David Glynn Twilley, 63, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Reginald Gibson will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Pine Point Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210.

Mr. Twilley was born in Milledgeville, Georgia and was a retired disabled United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 Device 1 O/S Bar. Mr. Twilley was the son of the late Ella Louise Williams Twilley and William Leondaus Twilley, Jr. and was preceded in death by a brother, William L. Twilley, III. He was of the Protestant Faith.

Mr. Twilley is survived by his wife, Rosa Mitchell Twilley of Macon; sons, David (Jennifer) Twilley of Lizella, John (Leslie) Twilley of Crawford County, and Joey (Hayley) Twilley of Macon seven grandchildren; sister, Ann Brewer of Macon; several nieces and nephews.
