Dorothy Helen Dunn, age 90, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Riverside Cemetery entering through the North Gate. Rev. Mark Magoni will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service.
Miss Dunn was born in Macon the daughter of the late Helen Darden Dunn and Roy L. Dunn, Sr and was preceded in death by her brother, Roy L. Dunn, Jr. She attended A. L. Miller High School and the University of Georgia, where she received her Masters in Journalism. Miss Dunn worked for Congressman Forrester, Senator Richard Russell and the White House for former President Ronald Reagan.
Miss Dunn taught journalism at Pensacola Junior College and retired and moved to Macon to care for her mother. After she passed Miss Dunn moved to the North Georgia mountains and wrote for local papers and sold real estate. She later moved to Lake Sinclair and then back to Macon.
Miss Dunn is survived by her 2 nephews and niece, Roy L. "Chip" Dunn, III (Cathy) of Forsyth, Gary Dunn of Macon and Susanna Barnes of Marietta.
