There was only one Anne:  A beautiful, loving, talented, fun woman!   Her personality was contagious to us all.

At the beautiful stokes family reunion in St Augustine in 2005, orchestrated in part by Anne, we all enjoyed her scrapbooks and life time of memories she so proudly displayed of family and friends.  They were amazing!    Thereafter, Anne spent countless hours helping me (Joy) make scrap books of my own.  

Anne was like an Aunt to me (Tommy) and always made me feel so loved and special.  When we can up from Florida to see Larry and mom (Sandy Stokes-Lowe Clausen) Anne, A.L. and Beth would come for dinner or a visit.   We had a great time sharing stories, old times and memories.  Anne loved family and family loved Anne.   We will miss her dearly.  You will always be in our hearts.

So many memories of time spent with Anne, A.L.. and all the cousins, Vic, Eric, Lyn and Beth.  From playing on the farm to traveling to other states to visit the cousins during the summer!  One memory was in Norfolk Virginia, having dinner on the ship- being served with two forks (Roger screaming why do I have two forks )..remember we are from the country !!  My mother and Anne took some of the children to see Cabaret….one certain word came out and I insisted on knowing what it meant !!!  My first bad word !!  But no Anne and Mom never told me what it meant they .just told me to hush !!  Virginia is for lovers !  Loved her wigs - always called told her she looked like Elizabeth Taylor!  Enjoyed the times spent at  Anne’s Ceramic Shop!!!  I still have my yellow kitty I made in 1969 as well as the Ceramic 🎄 trees!  Anne loved her arts and crafts !  Anne and my mother worked on making scrap books which have pics of our great grandparents along with pics of us from birth and all of our memories through the years!   This I will treasure forever !  While at the hospital this week, my Aunt Sandy was given her birthday present that Anne had worked on for a while !  A beautiful diamond dot craft of Elvis Presley!  Memories to treasure forever !   To the Carson’s - may all the memories bring you peace and comfort in the days to come !  Our thoughts and prayers are with you !           The Hicks Clan  

I met Anne, at mutual friends house on the lake. I thought see was the prettiest sweetest lady. So friendly and so proud to show me her Christmas beauties she had collected. I'm blessed to have known such an amazing woman. RIP Anne and give Ruth and Betty a hug for me.


Anne was my first cousin, our Daddy’s were brothers. She was also like a sister and my best friend.
My mind is flooded with memories and it is difficult to pick a favorite because there were so many.
Some of my fondest memories were centered around Christmas, both our favorite time of year. Anne made it special with many homemade treasures. It was a wonderland of sights and smells. It took at least a month to decorate. Christ was always central to the theme with her Daddy’s open Bible displayed with his glasses on a table.
In addition to her unshakeable faith in God her own unselfish acts of kindness were testament to the love in her heart.
Anne always had room in her home and in her heart for family and friends - old and new.
She was devoted to her family, friends, and the love of her life, A.L. They would have been married 64 years on July 8. 
Anne and I shared decades of secrets, memories, ups and downs, losses and gains, deaths and births, sorrow and joy. I will forever cherish the time we had together.


I couldn’t have asked for a better friend.  Anne was always kind, loving, adventurous, and fun-loving!  She was always on the go in her slightly younger years.  She thought nothing of traveling an hour or more to see a friend or go out to eat with friends.  My favorite memory was when Anne, A.L., Ken & I went on a cruise to Alaska; we had so much fun looking at expensive jewelry, seeing the sled dogs at Denali, going to the Red Horse Saloon and more.  And we also did many fun things together as Red Hatters; we attended many conventions together.  Anne was always willing to go the extra mile for her friends.  I will always carry her in my heart.

Mrs. Carson is survived by her husband, A.L. Carson; sons, Victor Carson (Sheryl) and Michael Carson; daughter, Elizabeth Carson; grandchildren, Erin Liedke (Geoffery), Mandy Maes (Gregg), Meghan Buschbacher (Adam), Andrew Carson (Holly), Nicole Wallace (Zack), Brandy Long, Michael Long (Heather), Bethanie Creason, Seth Carson, Brittanie Hall (Brett), and Christopher Carson; and nineteen great grandchildren
