

Elinor Odom Lindsey entered into her heavenly rest Monday, April 21, 2014. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, April 28, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Will Johnson officiating. The family will greet friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to a favorite charity in Mrs. Lindsey’s memory.
Mrs. Lindsey was born on July 22, 1921 to the late Paul W. Odom and Lillian Rainey Odom. She was married to G W Lindsey Jr. for 46 years. She lived a long, full life and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
For most of her working life, Mrs. Lindsey was employed with GMAC. In 1963, she and G.W. retired and travelled the US and Mexico in their travel trailer spending summers in Asheville, NC and winters on the beautiful beaches in Naples, FL; but always considering Macon “Home”.
Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her son Eric (Jean) Lindsey of Milledgeville; daughter, Amy Rivers Vogt of Macon; brothers, Bill(Margaret) Odom of Havelock, N.C., Paul Roy (Jackie) Odom of Macon; grandchildren, Debbie (Gus) Dellinger of Midlothian, VA, Dana Rivers of Macon, Michael (Jamey) Rivers of Milledgeville, great-grandchildren, Lindsey McCormick and Kelly McCormick of Richmond, VA, Mason Rivers and Sutton Rivers of Milledgeville, and several nieces.
The family would like to thank the special staff at the Oaks at Peake Assisted Living and Bolingreen Health & Rehab for their kind and loving care of Mrs. Lindsey.
