Mrs. Eveline Allen Kelly

ALPHARETTA – Eveline Allen Kelly, 90, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Dogwood Forest Assisted Living facility. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with burial in Kelly Cemetery, Jones County. Dr. Otis Andrews will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2 p.m. to service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Kelly, wife of the late Garrette Kelly, was born on April 10, 1920 in Bleckley County the daughter of the late William Carl Allen and Laura Latson Allen. She moved to Macon at the age of four and was an early member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mrs. Kelly spent many years managing Dairy Queen stores in Macon and worked as School patrol Lady at Florence Bernd Elementary School where she later retired as Lunchroom Manager.

Survivors include her children Laura Gibbs and her husband, Harold of Townsend, MT, Barbara Kelly of Decatur and Gary Kelly and his wife, Kathi of Alpharetta; four granddaughters, Heather Higgs, Lauren Stone, Kelli Gibbs and Cambre Kelly; three great grandsons.
