Evelyn Kirk Cook, 93, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry St. with Dr. Richard Kremer officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Burial will be private at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cochran, GA. Evelyn was born in Cochran, GA to the late Zollie C. and Violet White Lawson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry Kirk and Willard Cook. Evelyn was the owner and operator of Evelyn’s Telephone Answer Service for twenty years. She was a member of Vineville Baptist Church. She was an avid bridge player; she enjoyed working in her flower garden, and traveling.
She is survived by her sisters, Jewell NeSmith of Cochran, Alma (Hugh) Lewis of Macon, Lillian (Mark) Kelley of Oglethorpe; several nieces and nephews; step children, Wilene Chamblee, Ilene Ferguson, and Wanda Bray.
