

Faye Warren “Boots” Green, 69, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s Pio Nono Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry, GA at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Aaron Burgess officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Snow’s Pio Nono Chapel.
Mrs. Green was born in Greenville, FL to the late Floyd A. and Alice L. Reams. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Warren Vinson and her husband, William “Billy” P. Warren. Mrs. Green was a member of Macon Evangelistic Church and retired as Administrator of Food Services for the Georgia State Board of Corrections. She was a member of the American Correctional Association and the Georgia Peace Officers Association. She was active in the Garden Club of Gray, Arbor Day Foundation and a member of the Garden Club of Georgia, the Georgia Farm Bureau and the Garden Club of America. Mrs. Green was a primary sponsor for the Daylily Festival of Gray and has over 90,000 daylilies planted over various locations over Jones County.
She is survived by her loving husband, Calvin E. Green of Gray, son Glenn (Angie) Warren of Leeds, AL, six grandchildren, Leslie Cobb, Daniel Warren, Jack Willford, Tammy Sikes, Crystal Schlette and Kendall Jackson, fourteen great grandchildren, sisters, Helen Goodman of Okeechobee, FL, Betty Smith and Gail Andrews both of Tallahassee, FL, and Margaret Dement of Bainbridge, GA, brothers, James F. Ream and William W. Reams both of Greenville, FL., and numerous nieces and nephews.
