Rev. Gladys W. Bell

Rev. Gladys W. Bell, 98, joined her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Glad Tidings Tabernacle with the Rev. Shelby Summerlin officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Durant, FL on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. The family will meet friends from 12 Noon on Sunday at the Church.

Rev. Bell, wife of the late Rev. Joseph M. Bell, Sr., was born in Tampa, FL the daughter of the late Gillian and Senora Carter Williams. She earned her Master’s Degree and taught in Elementary School with Bibb County Board of Education for thirty-eight years. Rev. Bell was formerly Senior Pastor of Glad Tidings Tabernacle.

Those left to cherish her love and her memory are her children, Sharon Bell (Earl) Lane of Goosecreek, SC, Joseph M. (Susan) Bell, Jr. of Lake Sinclair, Phillip Marcus Bell of Utah; four grandchildren, Joey Bell, III, Cassy Lane, Staci Morrow and Teri Gallagher; seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
