

CENTERVILLE – Harold Hubbard Sullivan, 82, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Pine Pointe Hospice Facility. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. R. G. Blackwell and Dr. Allen Hughes will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. They suggest that those who wish to make memorial contributions to Greenwood Baptist Church (formerly Shurlington Baptist) Building Fund, 3400 Gray Highway, Gray 31032 or First Baptist Church Centerville Roofing Fund, 108 Church Street, Centerville 31028 or Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210.
Mr. Sullivan, son of the late Ross H. and Easter Massey Sullivan, was born in Birmingham, AL and served with the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean War being the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was District Sales Manager retired from American Tobacco Co. Mr. Sullivan was a former long time member of Shurlington Baptist Church and presently a member of First Baptist Church Centerville. Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his first wife, Claire Sullivan and by his daughter, Sandra Sullivan.
Survivors include his wife, Faye T. Sullivan of Centerville; his daughter, Sheila Sullivan Barber of Macon; his sons, Ronny (Rhonda) Sullivan and Richard Sullivan, all of Macon; his stepchildren, Rodney (Angela) Tolbert of Macon, Scott (Tammy) Tolbert of Kathleen, Donna Tolbert Kelley of Macon and Debbie Tolbert Gamber of Centerville; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four sisters, Geraldine Bell, Dean (Jimmy) Houston, Ann McCormack and Barbara Spray, all of Alabama and several nieces and nephews.
