Harrell Malone (Bony) Baskin Sr.

Harrell Malone (Bony) Baskin, Sr. passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Ingleside United Methodist Church, 3187 Ridge Avenue with Dr. Jimmy Pennell officiating. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends after the service in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Georgia Rotary Student Program, P. O. Box 4521, Macon, GA 31208, Kitty City Cat Rescue, 1432 Riverside Drive, Macon, GA 31201, or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Bony was born in Macon, Georgia to the late William Harrell Baskin, Jr. and Frances Solomon Baskin. Bony was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Nina Senn Baskin. Bony was the owner and President of Bilco Manufacturing Corporation for 60 years. He was a member of Ingleside United Methodist Church serving in many leadership roles. He was a Rotarian for 64 years in the Macon Rotary Club, serving in roles of Past President, Director, a District Trustee of the Georgia Rotary Student Program, a Paul Harris Fellow, and a Will Watt Fellow. He represented the Rotary ideal of service above self throughout his life. He was a longtime member of the Pallbearers Club and a longtime member, Director, and Past President of the Satilla River Club. Bony was also a past director and past treasurer for 23 years of Riverside Cemetery, Inc.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Hal (Sandra) Baskin, Jr., Nina (Frank) Fleming, Bill (Lisa) Baskin, Fran (Georgia) Baskin; grandchildren, Tim (Beth) Fleming, Chris (Katy) Fleming, Will Baskin and Hunter Baskin; and great grandchildren, Hunter Fleming and Rees Fleming, and brother, Dr. William H. Baskin, III of Winston-Salem, NC.
