Helen F. Jowers

Helen F. Jowers, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Shurlington Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. Pastor Ronnie Griffin will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6 until 8 PM Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Shurlington Church of the Nazarene, 2160 Shurling Drive, Macon 31211.

Mrs. Jowers was born in St. Johns County, FL and was the daughter of the late Mabel Maude Knickerbocker Fuller and Henry A. Fuller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace J. Jowers. Mrs. Jowers was a member of the Shurlington Church of the Nazarene in Macon and was a former route coordinator for the Hillsborough County, Florida School System.

Mrs. Jowers is survived by her children, Horace “Jay”Jowers, Jr. (Arnita) of Macon, Linda Darby (John) of Dunnellon, FL, Carol Kelling (Brian) of Panama City, FL, David Jowers (Claudia) of Micanopy, FL; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
