

James Michael Dorn, 60, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017. Memorial services and a celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, with the Rev. Horace Holmes, Jr. and Chaplain Michael Miller officiating. The family will meet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. with a reception following the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to Integrity Hospice, 1101 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, GA 31021.
Mr. Dorn, son of the late William Edward Dorn, was born in New Brunswick, NJ, and was a member of the U. S. Air Force Reserve. He was the owner and operator of JMD Vending in Los Angeles, CA, and was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church. Mr. Dorn was a former member of Pilot Club of Macon and was a former volunteer with Middle Georgia Community Food Bank for ten years. He was a member of the Head Injury Group of the Rehabilitation Hospital at Macon – Navicent Health for twenty-four years and was a member of the Shalom Group of Macon.
Survivors include the family he adored: his wife, Dr. Phyllis Walters Burdett Dorn; his son, Steven Dorn and his financee’, Meline Ter-Ogannisyan; his son, Philip Dorn and his wife Jolene; his stepson, Lew Burdett and his wife Jennifer; his stepdaughter, Amy Fitzpatrick and her husband Michael; his beloved grandchildren - Ethan Fitzpatrick, Molly Fitzpatrick, Jacob Dorn, Evan Dorn, Emery Burdett and Kylee Burdett; his mother, Theresa Dorn; sister, Kathy Copp; brothers - Billy Dorn, Michael Dorn, and Johnny Dorn; and several nieces and nephews.
