

Born in Macon, Mr. Dorsey had lived in Nashville, TN for the last 18 years following his retirement as a Macon pharmacist in 1995. He was the son of the late A. B. Cicero Dorsey and Lillian Ratliff Dorsey of Macon.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Susanne Aultman Dorsey, formerly of Macon, now of Nashville, four children Susan Dorsey Anderson (Wayne) of Birmingham, AL; James H. “J” Dorsey, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; Dean Dorsey Hoskins of Nashville, TN; and Hollis Ann “Holly” Dorsey Meidl (Chris) of Franklin, TN; five grandchildren Susan Willoughby Anderson (Michelangelo D’Agostino) of Chicago, IL; Joseph Wesley Meidl and Jonathan Hollis Meidl of Franklin, TN; Dorsey Kate Hoskins and Hattie McAndrew Hoskins of Nashville, TN.
Mr. Dorsey graduated from Lanier High School in 1946 and served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1948 before graduating from the University of Georgia’s School of Pharmacy in 1951. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street from 1pm-2pm followed by services in the chapel at 2pm with Dr. Laudis H. “Rick” Lanford officiating. Graveside services will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, PO Box 2525, Macon, GA 31203-2525.
