Joe Brock Bingham

Lieutenant Colonel Joe B. Bingham, USAF, Ret., 71, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with a reception to follow. Burial will be private at a later date at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Rev. Nathaniel A. Long and Mr. Frank Roberts will officiate. The family will greet friends from 5 until 7 PM Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street and asks that those who wish make donation in his memory to Mars Hill University, Office of Advancement, P.O. Box 6792, Mars Hill, NC 28754.

Mr. Bingham was born in Washington, D.C. the son of the late Jane Himes Bingham and Gordon Brock Bingham. He was retired from the United States Air Force and also from the IBM Corporation. Mr. Bingham was of the Methodist Faith, was on the Board of Trustees on Mars Hill University, was an avid golfer, loved wood working and was a fabulous cook.

Mr. Bingham is survived by his wife, Ann L. Bingham of Macon; daughter, Mary Bingham of Atlanta; son, Stephen Bingham of Macon; brothers, David Bingham of Lebanon, TN and Rick Bingham of Luling, TX; several nephews.
