Jule “D-Dadders” Jackson Trussell, 86, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 surrounded by his family at home. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with burial and Military Honors in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Willie Crosby will officiate. The family will meet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Options, 486 New Street, Macon, GA 31210. The family expresses their gratitude to Mandy Chaney and her team for their compassionate and gentle care during this time.
Jack Trussell was preceded in death on December 10, 2016, by his wife of fifty-four years, Dorothy Cannon Trussell. He was the son of the late W. M. and Julia Nelson Trussell and brother of the late Bobby Trussell. Mr. Trussell was retired from Robins Air Force Base and from the Army National Guard. He was a member of First Christian Church where he served as an Honorable Deacon and was a fifty-plus years, Master Mason. D-Dadders was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.
Survivors include those he loved most, his daughter, Renee (K.C.) Trussell Harris; his step children, Barbara J. Skipper, Thomas W. Jones, and Dianne J. McLemore; his brothers, Billy (Lena) Trussell and Joe Trussell; his sister, Peggy Freeman; his grandchildren Kyle Harris and Nikki Harris; his “adopted sons”, Mickey Pearce and Willie Crosby and a number of step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
